What we can offer
People in groups of between six and twenty can each enjoy a glider flight and a day at the airfield learning about flight and how we go gliding.
Suitable for family groups, youth groups, clubs and work events.
A restaurant which can seat 80 and offer a full range of food from 3 course hot meals and drinks to buffet meals to suit your group.
An award winning bar which can be used after flying is done for the day.
You fly with fully qualified instructors, and the flight can be tailored to your requirements. Each flight includes a tow to a minimum of two thousand feet and a gentle exploration of the way we fly a glider. Your instructor will allow you to take the controls and help you understand how you can control the glider through expert tuition.
The club has an interactive simulator on which we train pupils. This is a great group event as you can observe the flight and enjoy the full flying experience within the simulator room. The simulator is a two seat glider cockpit with large panoramic screens to give you a realistic flight.
We have a large fleet of gliders which you may walk around in the World War 2 T2 hangar. Detailed lectures can be arranged if you wish to understand more details about flight,weather or gliding.
We also have a limited number of basically furnished rooms for over night accommodation offering a bed, sink and a shared shower room.
A small meeting room can be booked for your use if you require.
