Happy New Year everyone
The 5th annual Fun Run took place at 11 am this morning in glorious sunshine.
We had 34 entrants, with the winner (from the Chineham Park racers) taking 18.15 minutes to complete the peritrack circuit (2.58 miles)
Club members; Peter Healey finished third and Derek Copeland was the first walker to finish. David Masson did a very credible time - despite the hangover ! Almost forgot! - Jack Wardle (who was 80 on Christmas Day) also completed the circuit - what an inspiration to us all !
We raised nearly £300.00 this morning for the Hart Wildlife Rescue based in Soldridge near Four Marks.
There is still a collection box to be emptied so the final total will be posted on the Club noticeboard as soon as we know the full amount
Thank you again to everyone who contributed to the event - it was a great way to start the year, especially as there was plenty of flying taking place as well
