Lasham Gliding Society offers three linked schemes for youth flying, with varying levels of support towards flying costs, dependent upon age on the 1st January of the current year. There are two membership categories: 14 Years Old to 21 Years Old and 21 Years Old to 26 Years Old.
Lasham Youth has been set up to encourage the presence and participation of younger people at Lasham by making gliding more accessible to under 26 year olds. It is run by a committee of Lasham Gliding Society youth members.
The Youth movement is also supported by the 3 Universities that fly from lasham. More information on the Universities can be found by following this link.

Saturday Evenings
Lasham Youth run a Saturday Evening course during the summer months which is open to everyone, but enables us to provide an environment where young members can fly with people of similar ages.
We have our own instructors, tug pilots and winch drivers, and aim to be a centre of excellence and help individuals achieve their goals. In the event that bad weather rules out flying, we shall run lectures and simulator sessions instead.
Lasham Youth also organises expeditions so members can experience flying from different locations, along with a range of social activities throughout the year.
If you are interested in coming along, feel free to just turn up or drop us an email and we’ll arrange to meet you and show you around. If you can't make it every week, don’t worry, you’re still welcome as and when you can make it. You are of course welcome to fly at any time, not just Saturday evenings.
